Crossline Reviews
Got fitted for Taylormade TPMC irons in 2012. Had Crossline cords fitted. Still have the original grips, even on the two clubs that the shaft rusted and snapped (I promise, they rusted from the inside, not thrown!). These grips last and last. Wash them 2-3 times a year with dish soap and water, and use a FJ Rain Grip glove with them (not sure how they would go with hard leather?). They are a fantastic all-year round grip.
Just ordered a TM M5 Driver and had GolfBox fit a Lamkin Crossline Cord. And just put an old Crossline pistol I had on the Piretti. Only gripe I have is that the new “LAMKIN” branding on the grip is a bit “in your face”, compared to the old gold cursive script, which looked a bit classier. But a small point, and my next grips will be fitted “LAMKIN” down.
Can’t recommend them enough. Thank you.
Can’t go wrong with a Lamkin Crossline. This is my go-to grip for the last 4 years. I love that it comes in Oversize. Most durable grip on the market. Tons of traction. Good for all weather. The Oversize fits my hands perfectly and dampens vibration. I love these grips. The Chord version is great as well.
Lamkin Crosslines are the perfect blend of traction, durability and price. My irons take a beating at 75+ rounds a year and I only re-grip once a year whether they need it or not (usually not).
I use nothing else but lamkin
I love these grips, feel and look. I wish they would bring back the red and white colorway.
i kept coming back on this crossline grip. Nobody beats the feel on my personal opinion.
Great iron grips. Replaced old set of Golf Pride grips with Lamkins, and am very pleased. Can’t beat the 2 for 1 sale offer
Best Grip I ever used
It has a very nice feel to it and I’ve also had them for 3 years and about to get some more for my whole set!!
Great feel. Have owned for 4 years and they don’t wear out.
The last set I used for 3 years without any problems.
still can not find a better grip over all…last forever if you keep them clean… do miss the old logo, it was classy’
I had tried the regular Lambkin grip and it is good but this one is superior, especially for irons and fairway woods. I have a different grip on my drivers but like this one A LOT. Provides a great deal of cushion while still having a somewhat firm feel as opposed to being spongy.
I have had my set of grips for two years now and I am just replacing them. I play four days per week not counting the nine extra holes we often play. They are great in any weather, if your hands sweat no problem. I would recommend for any recreational golfer ( as I am).
These are the best grips I’ve ever purchased. Going to buy 4 more to complete the set. Noticed improvement in club control immediately!!
I rate these grip a 4 only because there is always room for improvement. Love the grips but don’t know how long they will last. Good grip, good feel….don’t know how they are in rain (moisture).
Great great grips, the only ones I have used for many years, and will use no others
This is absolutely the best grip on the market. They last a LONG time and keep their feel and texture for multipe years. I toyed with a Golf Pride New Decade Multicompound on my driver. That lasted for about a week and I was back to the Lamkin Crossline. I won’t switch again!
Not much to say about grips. Although, Since moving up to the oversized Lamkin, My game has been more consistent. Everyone who has tried one of my clubs with the Oversized grip has commented on how good it feels. I haven’t played in the rain yet, but the grip does provide a great feel on the hot and humid days.
I was looking for a grip that would be functional whether or not I was wearing a glove. This grip has the feel and tackiness I was looking for and can be used with or without a glove. The 1/8 oversize is just enough extra material to give me the feel I was looking for without being overly cumbersome. I feel I have more control now.
What can I say, proven value and excellent feel in one perfect grip. Nothing seems to replace what these grips feel like and I’ve enjoyed them for years. This is one of the best values on the market and they last me for at least 2 seasons playing 2-3 times a month. Save over the latest and greatest and enjoy a great grip in the rain or shine.
Not as tacky at first but grip increases with use.
Gives me confidence, helps with my control, and feels great before and after impact.
These are fine grips that are inexpensive and have excellent traction. Great for the average player.
Solid feel and long lasting. Used this grip for years in hot or wet weather the grip does not get slick.
Used nothing but GP until Lamkin crosslines came on my new irons last year. They have been excellent and have outlasted the GP that I put on my wedges at the same time.
The Lamkin Crossline grip has been on my clubs for years; If you replace grips more than once a year, they are a great value and provide great feel and tackiness, even when a little wet.
These grips are the bomb. Can I say “bomb” in a review? Feel and functionality. I went midsize this time, because of my big hands. Big hands, big gloves. And they have those at Golf Galaxy too. These grips will shave strokes off your game. Maybe not everyone’s game, but it won’t add strokes, that’s for sure. Comfortable, heck yes. Value that is hard to beat. And the appearance? Made my clubs look new again. Highly, highly recommended for the occasional golfer to the club champion.
The Lamkin Crossline grip has been around for years and for good reason. It’s a quality grip at a great price. Considering that the most popular grips are twice the price, and don’t perform much better if at all, I’ll be sticking with this one for my regripping needs in the future.
Feel great until you get a little sweat on them. Then they start to get a little slick. They stay a little slick for a while if you don’t let them completely dry, like if you sweat through your glove at the range and put the club right back in your bag instead of letting it air out. The grips of the clubs I practiced with were still a little slick the next day.
good looking and feeling grip that is soft enough for my liking but has enough grip to feel comfortable during play.
I won’t use any other grip. I’ve tried expensive grips and all other kinds. This grip is functional in all elements!
Great grips. I have used these grips before and thought they were great. I live in the south with high humidity and these grips are still easy to hold on to. They are cheaper priced than average grips.
grip is excellent will sweaty palms no need for gloves
was exactly what I needed at a fair price–lamkin makes a good product
Two years ago i got myself some custom made clubs and used the same Lamkin grips and after two years they feel of grips is still as good as the first time i hit my clubs. Very durable. When i bought a used 1 iron i re griped it as well.
thanks
I’ve been playing this grip for a long time now. Don’t see any reason to switch to anything else. Somewhat on the firm side, which I like. Give it a go!
I had the new grip installed on my TM 5 wood. I trust the Lamkin Crossline grips, and have them on all my clubs. They are durable, tacky, & comfortable grips.
I replaced midsized Dri-tacs with these inexpensive grips and they are terrific. Great feel!!! I think they’re a better grip than a lot of the more expensive grips. I’ll get them again next time.
I installed these grips on all of my irons. The Lamkin crossline provides excellent grip, feedback and comfort and these grips work well in the damp playing conditions here in Portland.
Absolutely love these. Wish I would’ve bought these sooner. Bought two and put on my driver and fairway wood and it sure improved my hitting. Highly recommended.
Lamkin Crossline grips are excellent performers under any conditions. After trying a few other brands/materials, this is the keeper. Have been using them for over 3 yrs in all the “irons” and “woods”. Great, even when wet ( I do play in high humidity and tropical wx a lot). These have a very nice feel to them and sure helped me shave a few strokes off the game. If you wear a large size glove (I do), consider the midsize or even the oversize. Definitely the best performance/value. You will not be disapointed with these.
I find that the Lamkin grips , especially the cross hatch design last a very long time and the grip does not become worn or slick.
Excellent grip for the average player! Go buy them
These new Lamkin Crossline Midsize grips are so superior to the ones that came on the clubs. The fit, feel and grip is like having new clubs in your hand.
This grip was very easy to put on and has made such a solid feeling now while swinging the club. The midsize grip fits perfectly in my hand. The price was very affordable for the end results. I’m hitting straight shots once again!
I like to use the midsize grip cause it fits nicely into my hands. The Lamkin grip is especially comfortable in your hands. I highly recommend this grip for your club.
Product fits my hands extraordinary well. Striking the ball with confidence; driver through wedges.
I have been using Lamkin grips for about two years now and find them to be comfortable and have a solid feel. I use the midsize with double wrap tape. Recommend for all golfers to try and use.
You just can’t beat Lamkin grips for quality and value, and the bonus is they look great on just about any clubs you have.
been wanting to get new grips since June…..finally just went and did it…..glad I did…..wish I hadn’t waited so long now…..very comfortable feel…..going to have my 16 year old re-grip his clubs as well…..
I have used this product before and without hesitation I put the same on my new clubs. They have a great feel.
Have always liked this grip. Good feel and lasts a whole season.
The most comfortable and efficient grips I have tried.
Needed midsize grips as old age and arthritis are causing the fingers to close less. I can now hit the clubs pain free.
My husband plays golf 6 days a week and goes thru grips often.
These are great according to him and easy to replace on the
clubs
Just wanted some basic decent grips for my Cobra irons and the price was right. So far, so good!
As advertised- great grip
Great quality for your better clubs and installs easily
Have tried other brand grips over the years but always come back to Lamkin Crossline. These grips feel good in the hands and work well in wet conditions – with just the right amount of firmness for me. These grips last longer than most others I have tried. A cleaning with mild soap and water every few rounds will keep them in good shape longer than most other brands.
Every time I try a different grip, I am unhappy and always go back to the Lamkin Crossline. Not too firm, not too soft and excellent pattern for traction.
