LAMKIN WINS AT SHELL HOUSTON OPEN

Congratulations to the winner of the Shell Houston Open, who secured his victory by outlasting two others in a three-man playoff.

The winner was six shots back of the leader to begin the day. Armed with Lamkin’s Crossline Tour Full-Cord golf grips, he came out firing. Five birdies in a row and a total of nine birdies through 12, the performance tied the tournament course record for the front nine at 29.

Two others also finished at 16-under, which led to a three-man playoff. It took two trips to No. 18 for the winner to finally emerge. The rally was the biggest on the PGA Tour since last April and gives the winner momentum going into the year’s first major.
